Project Name: Thermal Power Expansion Project 8Project Cost: 11000 crores 8Project Description: The EPC contractor Doosan Power System India along with sub-contractors is carrying out erection works of the boiler, ESP and Cooling water pipe in the UPRVUNL's 1320 MW (2x660 MW) super-critical extension project in the existing site at the Obra thermal power station situated at the Obra town in the Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. A purchase order for a limestone preparation system has been generated. The steam generator will be supplied by Doosan Power, turbine-generator by Alstom Bharat Forge Power Limited, coal handling plant by ThyssenKrupp, air preheaters and gas-gas heaters by Ljungstrom, boiler feed pumps by Sulzer, ESP by GE Power India, WFGDs by Doosan Power, and transmission network by Adani Transmission and Power Grid Corporation. The project is expected to get commissioned in 2021. 8Project Event: RFQ for gypsum handling unit for FGD is expected by June 2019 by Doosan Power.
