Fresh data: Gas-based power is in for revival

Fresh data has been brought into play to project different sources of power in India's energy matrix in 2020, 2030, 2040 and 2050.
8The interesting point to note is that gas-based power contributes the biggest share to energy generation, more than solar and wind.
8From today's perspective, when most gas-based power plants do not do well under the Merit Order Dispatch system, that fact that gas-based units will play such an important role in the future seems a little incongruous.
