8Project Description: The owner has already awarded the EPC for a 1320 MW (2x660 MW) greenfield super-critical thermal power plant. Investment approval has been accorded by CCEA. The contractor has started mobilization on the project site. Geotechnical investigation and field data survey and drilling of the borehole are in progress. Water pipeline survey was completed in August 2019. The PMC of the main plant was awarded. PMC for the rail infrastructure was awarded to RITES Ltd. The preparation of tenders for the construction of railroads is under process by RITEs ltd. The piling work is in progress by Bhagwati Construction. However, the preparation of tenders document and technical specifications of SG is under process. RFQs for the SG package is likely to be floated in Q1 2020. Further bids are expected soon.
